How to Use the Courses on This Site

Learning is straightforward and easy when taking the courses that we offer. All you need to know are the following simple steps. Click on image below to see an example page enlarged in a separate window.

Course Structure

The courses can be varied. Each course will provide an overview and outline located in the center column.

In this section, you will find:

• resources within the site and
  links to resources off the site,

• a forum for that particular course,

• activities including assignments, some of which consist of audio, video or other multimedia.

Further down in the center column, you will find your course material. Some courses will be divided into "Topics" which are generally for the Practical Application Series of programs that follow a daily schedule. Each Daily Topic consists of activities. Other courses will involve a weekly format with a start date and a finish date. Each week consists of activities. Simply click on the Assignment title and it will bring you to a new page that explains your assignment.

There will be some assignments that have pre-requisites and if you have not completed the pre-requisite, you not be able to access the assignment until you do. The assignments have a designation after their title. Those marked with are locked to you until you complete the previous assignment. Those assignments that you have completed are marked with a .

On the left hand side, you will find a Menu that offers a summary of your activities for the course. These include all assignments, forums, and resources that are available.

Next, you will find a search box for the forums. The forum is used to connect and interact with other students who may be taking the same course. This could be in the Personal Study format, the One-on-One Study format and the Tele-Conference Study format or any other courses that we may offer.

Following in this left hand side column is a heading for "My Courses" and "Course Categories" listing. This provides access to all of the courses you are enrolled to on the site and those that are available on the MiraclesOne Light University site.

In the right hand side column, you will find "Latest News" and "Upcoming Events". There may be other menu options depending on the course and what is occurring on the site itself.

Assignments

Assignments will vary. Those that include a journaling feature, you will find at the bottom of the page a button called "Edit My Submission"

It will also indicate to you if you have submitted anything to the site for that assignment or not.

Printing

You may prefer to read or save your own assignment submissions on paper, rather than read them on your computer monitor. To print any information from the courses, just use your web browser's Print button.

Navigating the Site

Navigating the site is done through the black bar above the Topic Outline. Click on "MiraclesOne Light University" to go to Home Page, or click on your Course title to go to main page of your course.

At the very top, in the right hand corner, you will see your name in a black box. Clicking on your name brings you to your profile which you may edit as you like. This black box also gives you the opportunity to logout.











Once inside one of the assignments or resource pages, this black box in the right corner will reveal menu options for all the listings in the particular course that you are enrolled in. See image below, click to enlarge, opens in separate window.
